Back in Town

Baby Blu

After pulling the car to a stop outside my home it was a few moments before I left the vehicle. My eyes closed as I recalled my first encounter with Inferno since my return to Comfort Springs. Hell, my flesh still tingled where he rested his hand on my waist as we stood outside Eddie Bale’s home. Why had he ridden down that particular street at that precise moment? My knees had quaked as the bikes approached Eddie’s home. How had I known Inferno’s bike was among them before I saw him? I chuckled as I slipped the key from the ignition, then climbed out of the car. I was always thinking about Inferno. It was inevitable he would appear in my life at some point.

I glanced down the road. Like now, I was not surprised to see Inferno park his bike behind my car as I reached the garden gate. Why would I? When I left Eddie Bale’s and reached the end of his road, his brothers turned towards the highway as I turned to drive the route to my home, and Inferno followed me.

“You didn’t think you’d get away that easy. Did you, Baby Blu?” Inferno asked, jogging up the path to join me.

I licked my lips as I breathed in. Six years ago, I walked away from the man without saying goodbye. I had six years to forget him. Six turbulent years, and I never forgot him. He was on my bucket list. Shit, he was my bucket list. One day, I aim to have sex with him. I was going to orgasm that man out of my blood. With my smile in place, I turned to face the man who haunted my dreams since I was fourteen. “Hi, Inferno.” Then I frowned. “I could have handled Eddie Bale. I didn’t need your help.”

Inferno smiled, and my slightly swollen stomach quivered. This always happened when the biker was close by. “The man didn’t look friendly, Baby Blu,” he said.

I shrugged as I hunted for the door key at the bottom of my purse. “I still had it in hand.”

“If you insist,” the biker said, stepping close enough for his aroma to surround me. “Invite me in,” he said.

The keys fumbled, and it took an extra three seconds before I managed to open the door. “Why?”

“Because we’re old friends,” he said.

Old friends. Were we old friends? He was my ex-boss. I was his son’s former babysitter. But were we friends? We were once nearly lovers, but I had run. Still a child in a woman’s body. Now I was a woman, and I smiled. I was through running. “I’ve time for a coffee. Come in,”

Inferno followed me into the kitchen and sat in one of the kitchen chairs. His hair was still as dark as I remembered, but now it was slightly longer. His eyes just as blue. Was he laughing at me? “I hope I didn’t take you away from anything important,” I said.

His fingers brushed against mine as he accepted the freshly brewed coffee, and a tremor ran up my arm. Hoping to hide my reaction to his touch, I turned back to the kitchen counter and collected my own coffee, raised the mug to my nose, and inhaled. The fragrance filtered to my brain, and I relaxed, slightly.

“No, you didn’t take me away from anything. Trax mentioned seeing you at the store,” Inferno said. “When I saw you, I had to stop to say hi.”

The coffee warmed my throat as it slithered down to my stomach, settling in with the butterflies who had decided to take a bath. “I wasn’t sure he remembered me,” I said.

“He remembers you.” Inferno’s smile deepened. “You haven’t changed in the years you’ve been away.”

“No. Did he tell you. He ran out of the store when he ‘bumped’ into me.”

As I leant against the kitchen counter, I studied Inferno. His eyes steady as he watched me. I wanted to turn away. To stop looking at him. But my willpower crumbled. All I could do was stare at his lips, remembering the way they felt pressed against my flesh. The pulse in my pussy came to life as I recalled that fateful night with him, and my tongue swiped over my lips. “So, you’re still with Devil’s Comfort,” I said.

His chuckle teased my flesh. “You know the motto. ‘Once a Devil’s Comfort. Always a Devil’s Comfort,’ The binding stronger than any marriage contract,” he said.

“You got married, Inferno?” I asked. In my six years absence, the only person I kept in touch with was my father, and the one topic which was taboo, was Inferno, and his club. And. No matter how low I felt, they were never mentioned.

“Nope, still a bachelor,” he said.

“You going steady with anyone?” I asked. Inferno had always been a player. I doubt I have ever known him to go steady with anyone.

“You know me, Baby Blu. No one special.” Then he frowned. “I prefer to come and go with no ties.” Then his smile slipped. “What about you Baby Blu. Are you seeing anyone?”

I delayed answering by finishing my coffee. Then placed the empty mug in the sink. I dated while I was away. But none of the men, mostly fellow students, were a patch on Inferno. “Not at the moment.” It was not a lie. Inferno has no right to know what I have been through in the last six years. My return to Comfort. Springs was about my future. Not my past.

“Looks like we're both free agents,” he said.

His smile settled in my toes, but I refused to make this too easy for him. “You may be free, Inferno. But I bet you’ve got a woman hanging around you.”

Inferno shrugged. “I like women. They like me. There's nothing wrong with that.”

I glanced out of the window, then back at Inferno, and shrugged. “You're a free man. You can do what you want.”

Inferno rose from the chair and strode towards me. The closer he came, the more the kitchen shrunk, until he was standing in front of me. He’s taller than me by a foot, and I had to look up at him. A mistake I realised as he smiled down at me. His fingers light as they brushed the hair away from my face.

“And you're a free woman, Baby Blu.” His eyes searched my face. “Have you matured over the years. If I were to kiss you. Would you run away. Would you run this time??” he asked.

I licked my lips. “I've no plans to go anywhere. I'm back, Inferno. Comfort Springs is my home. No matter what happens, I have no plans to leave this time.”

“Good,” Inferno said just as his lips brushed over mine. The kiss started soft at first. Then as I locked my arms around his neck, Inferno slipped his tongue into my mouth, deepening the kiss. As our tongues danced, Inferno thrusted his hips against mine, and a moan escaped me. His hands gripped my waist, and he held me still as he continued to thrust. Denim against denim, and my panties grew wet. This was what I wanted. I wanted this man. I wanted this man deep inside me until we were one. Then he stepped away from me. My body lost from the lack of contact of his body, and I grabbed the counter until my breath returned to normal.

He brushed the hair away from my face. “Things don't change, do they?” Inferno said. His smile reaching my pussy. “I wanted you then. When you were eighteen. And I want you now.” His finger lingered over the pulse at the base of my neck. “And you want me.”

Why deny it. That seeing him again reminded me of my youth. Instead, I shrugged. “You're a good-looking man, Inferno. You know the tricks.”

His finger brushed against my throat. “I do. And I want you,” Inferno said. Then he stepped back, his smile deepened. “You and I have unfinished business. How about we have something to eat. See how this plays out. Come out with me. Let's see if there's anything there. Or if it's a memory and has no place to go.”

I should say no. But I have a bucket list.” One night,” I said.

Inferno

The air caught in my chest was slow to release, and I smiled as I nodded. “Great. I’ll pick you up Thursday at six-thirty.”

Baby Blu nodded, and I slipped my hands into my pockets, and willed my feet not to move. It would be easy to slip my arms around her waist. To pull her body close to mine. Then kiss her again. Baby Blu’s six-year absence had not changed her. She had been shy, and skittish then. And as she watched me, she still was. The guarded look in her eyes contradicted her, and her actions around me.

I leant over and collected my gloves from the table, and my smile returned. “I look forward to catching up, Baby Blu,” I said. Then, unable to resist, I stepped forward, and kissed her again. This kiss was not as fierce as the first one. It was softer, and lingered as our lips were slow to part. “Thursday,” I said. Then I slipped out the back door, and ambled down the path, whistling softly.

As I mounted my bike, I glanced up to the bedroom window. Although she was not in sight, I knew Baby Blu was there, watching me. As I slipped my helmet on, I glanced at the house next door. My folks home. I was in the area; I should call in and say hi. I flipped the ignition key, and the bike came to life. My folks were not home, I did not need to visit. At the bottom of the street, I turned the bike towards the highway. I had business to deal with.

As I hit the highway, and now I was away from Baby Blu, I could think. And it was about Baby Blu. I had been in the projects on business, and it was not until I was close to Eddie Bale’s house, I noticed the blonde standing at his door, and got my first look of Baby Blu since her return to Comfort Springs. Linc had been pissed when I told him to head for our meeting without me. But I pointed out, what was the point of having a vice president if he could not step in for me. Linc had sniggered, which I ignored.

As Baby Blu stood at Eddie Bale’s door, a primitive urge to protect her from the man, had overcome me. He towered over her. He was scowling down at her, and I wanted to hurt him. Instead, I ambled up the steps of the stoop, and slipped my hand around Baby Blu’s waist. Her heat surged through me at the touch, and I ached to kiss her.

The kiss had happened. But not until we were at her home. That kiss had left me wanting more. But I am a patient man. I have waited six years for Baby Blu, unsure if she would return to Comfort Springs. In those six years, she never came home. Yeah, after waiting six years, another five days would not matter.

As the biker bar came into view, I pulled into the parking lot, parking alongside the bikes already there. Then went inside to find Linc, and my brothers. The first I noticed, was Fudge, and Crabby at the pool table. After grabbing a beer from the bar, I joined them.

“Didn't expect to see you so soon,” Dec said as I sat in the vacant chair beside him.

I smiled. “I got my business sorted. How about you?” I asked. Dec’s eyebrow rose, and I smiled at the biker. Let him think what he wants, I decided, deciding not to let on about my date with Baby Blu.

“Yeah, it's sorted,” Linc said, “Day, and The Brothers are going on a ride,” he said. “They'll be gone about a week.”

I nodded. “I feel like a cookout. Dec, invite Day, and his men. We’ll make a day of it.”

“What about Baby Blu. Will she be there?” Tabby asked.

I scowled at him. “I'm not a fortune teller,” I said. Silently, I wondered the same. Would our time together go better than our last encounter when Baby Blu ran.e they wear their badges of glory with pride. These men are respected and feared throughout Comfort Springs as they keep the peace.
